I’ve uploaded the next picture package. Today I can show you my semifinal pics from singles and a doubles match. I think these pics became really cool ;)

You can watch the pictures here.

Summary of the matches I watched:

Svetlana Kuznetsova vs. Elena Dementiva, Stuttgart 2009

The day started with the singles match between Svetlana Kuznetsova and Elena Dementieva. It was a good match but Dementieva became more and more problems with her serve and made a lot of unforced errors. Svetlana Kuznetsova played the complete match on a high level and won the match in the end.

Nadia Petrova / Bethanie Mattek-Sands vs. Virginia Ruano Pascual / Zheng Jie, Stuttgart 2009

Between the singles matches a doubles semifinal was played: Bethanie Mattek-Sands / Nadia Petrova vs. Virginia Ruano Pascual / Zheng Jie. Mattek and Petrova played a strong first set but became unconcentrated in the second which Ruano Pascual and Zheng won. In the deciding match tiebreak the Russian-American duo played strong again and won the match.

Flavia Pennetta vs. Dinara Safina, Stuttgart 2009

The match of the day was Dinara Safina vs. Flavia Pennetta. The Italian played strong in the beginning like in her quarterfinal vs. Jankovic and benefits on many errors of the world No. 1 Safina. When Pennetta led a set and a break Safina turned the paper and played great tennis. In the third set Pennetta wasn’t able to play competitive and lost it with a bagel.

The 2nd doubles match I didn’t watch because it was late and Pennetta made a long suitable rest for her match at the side of Gisela Dulko…

Tomorrow I’ll try to upload practice pics of all three days I stayed in Stuttgart :)

Today I’ve added 171 new pictures from singles quarterfinals from Stuttgart last week.

You can watch the pictures here.

Gisela Dulko, Stuttgart 2009

Like yesterday I’ll now short-summarize the matches I attended:

The first match on Center Court was Elena Dementieva vs. Marion Bartoli. The French played good groundstrokes but was too inconsistant. Dementieva played good and secure so she deserved the win.

The match Svetlana Kuznetsova vs. Gisela Dulko was a quickie. Kuznetsova served strong and dominated the match. Dulko had big problems in her service games and made in total too many errors.

Flavia Pennetta, Stuttgart 2009

The best match of the day was Flavia Pennetta vs. Jelena Jankovic. High quality tennis of both with many emotions. Jankovic hit a ball onto the video cube at the roof and Pennetta desroyed a small advertising board of the linesman chair. Pennetta became better in the second set after losing the first. She turned paper and became the deserved winner.

At the end of the day I watched the first set of Dinara Safina vs. Agnieszka Radwanska. Safina won the first set.

Tomorrow the semifinal pics of singles and a doubles match will follow.

Day 2 of my uploading week. Today I’ve uploaded the Stuttgart pics from Thursday Singles round of last 16. 158 pictures of players like Sabine Lisicki, Jelena Jankovic or Caroline Wozniacki.

You can watch the pictures here.

Sabine Lisicki, Stuttgart 2009

And now some impressions of the matches I attended:

The first match was Marion Bartoli vs. Caroline Wozniacki on Court 1. Bartoli returned very good. The Danish teenager Wozniacki had some problems to find a line in her match. So Bartoli deserved the win in two sets.

Then I watched the end of Elena Dementieva vs. Agnes Szavay on Center Court. Szavay played much better than the last months but Dementieva was stronger in the deciding points.

Returning on Court 1 I watched the first games of Agnieszka Radwanska vs. Tsvetana Pironkova. It was an average match with some good points. Pironkova played offensive but made too many errors. Radwanska played solid tennis.

Caroline Wozniacki vs. Marion Bartoli, Stuttgart 2009

On Center Court I watched the last games of the match between Svetlana Kuznetsova and Li Na. The points I saw were of really good quality. Li played very agressive. But in the end Kuzzy made the important points.

The match of the day was Jelena Jankovic vs. local hero Sabine Lisicki. It was a really good match with many good shots. But Lisicki had some problems with her 1st serve while Jankovic served solid. In the end of an equal match Jankovic was the lucky winner. But despite of Lisicki’s lost the atmosphere in the Porsche Arena was great.

After a long day I watched the first 3 games of Dinara Safina vs. Daniela Hantuchova

Tomorrow I’ll upload the quarterfinal pics.

So stay tuned ;)

Yesterday I started with the venue pictures from WTA tournament in Stuttgart last week. Today I’ve uploaded the first pics of the players from singles quarterfinals!

I left my home city Berlin at 4 am to arrive in Stuttgart on time when the gates were opened. Before the matches started I followed some training sessions of players like Nadia Petrova, Vera Zvonareva and Dinara Safina (pictures will come the next days).

Elena Dementieva, Stuttgart 2008

The first match of the day was Victoria Azarenka vs. Olympic gold medalist Elena Dementieva. And it became a great match with long rallies and some nice shots. The match lasted nearly three hours until Azarenka won 7-6(6) 3-6 6-1 to become the first player who reached the semis.

Nadia Petrova, Stuttgart 2008

After a short break Nadia Petrova and Na Li, who defeated Serena Williams the round before, entered the center court. But it was the most uninteresting match of the whole weekend. Li made many errors and Petrova played very constant. In the end Petrova won 6-2 6-3.

Venus Williams, Stuttgart 2008

The third match of the day was Venus Williams vs. the player of the year Dinara Safina. Venus played wonderful and powerful tennis. It was a good match but Dinara seemed tired after losing the first set. So Williams won 6-4 6-2.

Vera Zvonareva, Stuttgart 2008

Then the match of the day came when Jelena Jankovic & Vera Zvonareva played great and thrilling match. After Jankovic won the first set in a tiebreaker Zvonareva led with a break in the second set when Jankovic got injured at her toe nail. But Jankovic continued and turned the paper to win 7-6(8) 7-6(5).

After that match I left the Porsche Arena after a long long day so I missed the last doubles quarterfinal…

All pictures of the four singles quarterfinals.

If you want to go directly to your favourite player go through the player list.

The next days the pictures from semifinals and final will follow. I also have a lot of practicing pics and videos. So stay tuned!

Stuttgart pics will come tomorrow!
